Literature Text

Sometimes life can seem like death
And you have no more energy left
Like those tears that you cry
Just won't seem to dry

But it's about time you learned
That it's not wrong to yearn
Something different than me
There's no reason to bleed

Let life outmatch them all
Grant a chance to those who fall
Be their strength, be their key
The truth is that love will set you free

When you feel it can't get any worse
Like who you are is a curse
Just look up to the sky
And imagine that you can fly

Then flap your wings proudly
Sing a song to your melody
Fly away from those who hate
Happiness is just a short wait away

Let life outmatch them all
Grant a chance to those who fall
Be their strength, be their key
The truth is that love will set you free

If you walk a little more around the bend
Fight through the words - you will make a friend
And that friend will love you 'til your dying day
Which is very far away

Let life outmatch them all
Grant a chance to those who fall
Be their strength, be their key
The truth is that love will set you free

Let life outmatch them all
Grant a chance to those who fall
Be their strength, be their key
The truth is that love will set you free

There is so much hope in the air
Breathe it in and be aware
There is much love to be found
Just stick around

I find it a bit amusing how immediately, you've written something that juxtaposes.

I like the rhyming and how the rhythm and that makes it more lyrical overall. Even though your choice of words is quite simple and straight-forward, the way they're phrased and the message they convey make this piece profound indeed.

I think... with the ending especially, you make it sound so easy in a sense, and yet... maybe it is that easy, who knows.
